Dr. Shyama PrasadMukherjee Foundation
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Foundation is a registered public charitable trust built on the principles of selfless service, grassroots development, and national progress. Inspired by the visionary ideals of Dr. Mukherjee, we work tirelessly to uplift underprivileged communities in rural and semi-urban regions.
Through structured development modules, direct welfare interventions, and strategic collaborations, we work across major pillars including primary education, rural healthcare access, vocational skills training, women empowerment, and disaster relief.
To establish a self-reliant, literate, and healthy society where every citizen enjoys equal access to opportunity, education, and livelihood resources irrespective of socio-economic background.
To implement direct-impact programs in village education, preventive medical check-ups, specialized skill academies, and self-help group setups to foster true grassroot development.
Guided by selfless service, national integration, transparency in action, integrity in fundraising, and unwavering focus on empowering marginalized groups.
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (1901 – 1953) was an eminent academician, statesman, and key architect of modern India's socio-economic vision. Serving as the youngest-ever Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University and later as India's first Minister for Industry and Supply, he laid the cornerstone for national progress, self-reliance, and public welfare.
Our trust is founded to carry forward his dream of rural empowerment, industrial skill development for youth, and social equity across every corner of India.
